In a nutshell, you will receive intake forms via email when you purchase a package. Once the forms are filled out, you will be able to schedule an appointment with one or both coaches.

We are here to help make you feel confident and secure in your homeschool adventure.
How do I withdraw my child from school? To withdraw your child from a Texas public school to homeschool, submit a written Letter of Withdrawal to the school principal stating your intent to homeschool. You are not legally required to meet with school officials, fill out district forms, or have your curriculum approved. We recommend going to THSC.org or hslda.org/legal/texas for more information on homeschooling laws specific to Texas. Lone Star Homeschool Coaches is not affiliated with either organization.
What about socialization?Ah, the age old question! There are too many activities for homeschooled children to list here. Everything from field trips, park play dates, sports, art, band etc. Rest assured that homeschooled children - and parents- are well socialized. We can help point you in the right direction to find your people.
What is a co-op and do I have to join one? There are several different types of co-ops. In general, a parent with specific experience will teach a class. Some meet once a week while others meet more. Parents are often asked to volunteer their time to help while other programs are simply a drop off class.
You do NOT have to join a co-op. Texas allows parents to choose the way and path to teach their children. Every subject can be taught at home by the parent, they can join a co-op, or hire a tutor for a specific class. You are free to choose.
